Had a disappointing stay here last week. Was initially assigned to one of the units closest to the highway but only found out which unit by badgering the front desk. I asked upon check-in which room I had and she told me the bellman would take me to the room, then I had to insist she show me on the map. Once she showed me, I asked for a different room which she initially refused claiming they were completely full (they were not according to the web). She reluctantly gave me another room still very close to the highway but not as bad. The room was incredibly hot and they provided a cheap $20 fan that didn't do much for the heat. we could not keep the sliding door open to cool the room because of the highway noise that lasted until about 2:00 am and started again at 5:00. Ugh. At checkout no one asked me about the stay but i did ask for the manager's card and they did not care why. My bill did not list my gold passport # and I asked to make sure it would be an eligible stay. The front desk said not to worry but I never got a stay credit and had to enlist the help of the diamond rep. While I don't expect the best room as a diamond I also don't expect the worst one either, and also don't want a stifling hot room.
