Please, thank you and chatting with your seatmate
Flying back form Phoenix last night got me thinking. I was upgraded to 1st on both segments and I noticed on my flights from PHX-DFW and DFW-LGA, that people in 1st rarely say please and thank you to FAs. Was it these particular flights or do you find that common?
The other issue was one of talking to your seatmate (assuming the person is not related to you or someone travelling with you (co-worker, etc...). How often do you talk to them -- besides maybe "Hello", "Excuse me" (to get to the lav) etc... I find I avoid it due to two unpleasant experiences (in both instances the seatmate talked my ear off for the entire flight). What is your experience?
