I don't know Isabelle's nationally, but it is quite clear that her husband was targeted because he was a foreigner (I'm in their soccer team's wechat group).
Of course this won't scare me away from SLT. That having been said, anyone of us could have been on the wrong end of that sword. Hence, the thread bump.
For sure it's a tragic event...and the randomness is scary: wrong place at wrong time, and SLT during the day is not a typical 'wrong place' (having been there dozens of times during the day with my family).
But I still view this as an 'isolated incident'.
I don't have a problem with the thread bump btw, just wanted to put it into context for those visitors to the board who don't live here.
