I noticed someone on Twitter complaining Target employees didn't know how to run chip cards as debit instead of credit. When I replied that terminals weren't running debit yet through chips (as has been discussed here), she replied that a manager came over at one store and did something so that it went through as debit. To be sure, she noted the chip had run as credit before at other Target stores.
Not sure of the specifics, but I wonder what happened to force the chip off the credit AID.
