Hi...flying COK-DEL-FRA-JFK, with DEL-FRA-JFK on LH. The Indian domestic sector (COK-DEL) is on AI, and they will interline suitcase #1 since it's all one booking. However I will have suitcase #2 stored in left luggage at DEL, and I would like to collect it and check it in. I would not be exceeding my LH luggage allowance (2 items allowed India-USA).

COK-DEL is a purely domestic flight on AI, so there is nothing preventing me from collecting suitcase #2 and taking it to the LH check-in desk.

My only question is whether LH might refuse to accept suitcase #2 because I have already checked some luggage at the originating airport.
