I had an accident 7 weeks ago and have to wear one of those goofy boots on my foot. I just started being able to walk on the boot a week ago. Before that, I had to use either crutches or a wheelchair. Crutches hurt, and I hate having to have someone push me around in the wheelchair, but I'm not quite ready for a LONG walk on the boot.

I have seen people being driven around in carts at all the major airports I travel in. I just called United to try to arrange for one of these carts, and was told that my only option is a wheelchair. Frankly, I'm done with the wheelchair and don't want to ever sit in one again. I see people in the carts all the time.

Why won't United accommodate my request?
