I do wonder about this. If passengers refuse to show boarding cards (as they are entitled to do) then surely it becomes harder for legitimate VAT relief to be claimed by the store....and that just results in prices going up for consumers.
If it's legitimate vat relief then shouldn't the saving be passed back to the purchaser? People would be more than happy to show their boarding pass if the saving was passed on.
