Barclay Arrival prorated annual fee refund question
Why is it unethical to request it? The $89 credit was a retention offer to keep me as a customer because I was a profitable customer for them over the last year. I am getting rid of the card because they gutted the rewards program and it no longer makes sense for me to keep spending money on it. If they went back to their old reward program, I would be more than happy to keep it and continue to use it for daily spend. Anyways, I will probably cancel it even if they don't refund the fees. Was just looking for a data point in case someone else has been in the same situation.
