My Hilton experiences are limited to around 10 properties plus few Conrads and WA's. In no way I claim it to be exhaustive list to compare to. You and some others just make this sound like heaven on earth and I am thinking that either some people have very low expectations or perhaps stay in suites in which case this doesn't probably touch you except for lounge.
I had the breakfast in lounge. Restaurant option was not offered.

I am also lowly HHonors Silver. Will be back to Gold after this stay.
As Hilton Gold I have stayed in all of the 3 Hilton properties in Berlin + IC Berlin over the years. Depends on the circumstances I switch between these hotels.
For me IC and Hilton are different types of hotel in different hotel chains. Personally I think IC vs Conrad are probably a bit more equal for comparison, but this could be just me. I like IC Berlin and also like the club lounge there, but they are different and that is for another thread.
I noticed you are IC AMB, so I guess you were upgraded to the Deluxe room at the club floor, however, to be fair the standard room or the Business room at IC Berlin, is actually not that much bigger than the Hilton King Executive room. They are about 30sqm.
What I am trying to say is that having Elite status or not does influence us the way we value an individual Hotel. I find myself forgive a lot when I got a nice room and when my first impression was good at a hotel.
