BA should offer sales specifically marketed at FTers on routes where there is normally no market. They then capacity control them to flights where seats would otherwise go unsold with > 95% certainty. No dilution from the market because there is no market so it's all profit! And they sell positioning flights too, presumably also on relatively unconstrained flights!
Reading some of the posts on this thread I wonder if this is what they are actually doing! SVG-SYD for example!
