In the US, IHG has much better small-town presence than HH. I find Holiday Inn Expresses in lots of roadside towns where there's not a Hampton (orfor that matter, Fairfield or Courtyard) to be seen. Of course, if your travel takes you to lots of really small towns you might be better off with Choice.
