I think that's really poor form from BA if they don't even provide a CE check-in desk. I flew back from Punta Cana earlier, yet another one of BA's holiday routes where there was no lounge provided (although there was a lounge, you just had to pay $50 to enter).
I have to admit, considering the cost of CE tickets to places like HER and JTR, I think something needs to be done here.
We are flying into and out of jmk on BA in a couple of weeks and have transited jtr on u2 before. We,ve also plemty of experience of these small basic greek island airports whose main trade until relatively recently has been bucket and spade charter traffic.
Frankly.there is no purpose in somehow expecting BA to conjure a premium experience at these airports for ce travellers.there just isn't the available infrastructure. It's a little like lcy nowadays,better to fly into than out of
