That's not actually true. In many cases, as
NewbieRunner's photos demonstrate, the Hilton and HGI signs are right next to (or above) Sheraton signs. It's a slightly longer walk but in my experience (roughly equal number of FRA Hilton and FRA Sheraton stays) well worth it. That might not be true for someone with top-tier SPG status, of course.

The standard rooms are small
I've stayed at the FRA Hilton as both Diamond and Gold. Always booked the cheapest room and never ended up in anything "small".
