Was at JTR on Wednesday last week on the flight back to Heathrow. There had been a Greek ATC strike that afternoon, but I have to say it was my worst experience of any airport ever. Once passing security, it wasn't physically possible move given the number of people there - no chance of going to the bar upstairs! They stopped letting passengers through security shortly after we passed through given the numbers of people present.
We were travelling in ET, but there was no separate queue for CE passengers. In fact there was only one desk open for the BA flight. Perhaps it was because the flight had been rescheduled to accommodate the strike, but it wasn't possible to check in online either.
Not sure about the LCY flight, but catering on the LHR flight in ET was the sandwich pack. I was a little surprised there was not hot food on this band 4.
We travelled around the island and also Folegandros quite a bit and I have to say that I didn't pay more than about 6 euros for a beer anywhere. That said, I would have happily paid 12 euros for the view alone without the beer! Truly beautiful part of the world - enjoy
