Surely it's SOP to ask the price in a very touristy bar? You pay around E10 for an espresso on St.Marks Sq in Venice. A rip off? Sure, but the cafes are still full. Supply and demand. No one is being forced into the bars. And the views in Santorini are really spectacular, so maybe worth E12 to spend an hour sipping a beer. It's no more than you'd pay in Scandinavia/Paris!

To the OP, no lounge in JTR. You can get a (reasonably priced) beer on the 1st floor cafe (with an outdoor seating area) in the airport. No benefit at all to arrive early I don't think. Check the airport website a day in advance to see if there are many other flights due out at the same time as the BA flight.
