Would someone be able to confirm the workings of the Lloyds Avios Duo card with regard to earning the 7000 in a calender year please?

The first point taken from the following site states:
"1 You will earn one upgrade voucher if you spend a minimum of £7,000 on your Lloyds Bank Avios Rewards Credit Card in a calendar year."

My card began in July of last year, after which I spent the 7000 and earned a voucher in November. This year I had spent more than 7000 by March however the Lloyds team are saying I don't begin qualifying for another voucher until after the anniversary of the card last month.

Any thoughts? Any normal definition of the phrase calendar year would infer Jan to Jan surely?
