I sent my 15-year old son traveling on his own, on a 13+ hour flight only a week ago. He probably wanted me to lose myself quick or what, as he bid me a quick good bye after check-in his flight and disappeared from escalator without even looking back to this WORST DAD of the year. Well, each kid is unique, some takes it well. YMMV.
