Boarded from A18 so just a quick walk down from the Flounge which was good. Settled into 1A where the usual blanket and pillow was waiting for me. The C seat was spare so I grabbed that pillow too! There was a slight hoo-ha at the front as to what roles the various crew members would be doing. There were 2 CSD's and one of them didn't know if the other one would be doing service because he wasn't technically supposed to be working? Goodness knows. As it turned out, he did work in the CE cabin and was great.

We toodled along to the runway and let a few brothers / sisters take off before we did.

FACE OFF!!!!!

Mr 1F got himself into a comfy position.....

The crew leisurely got themselves ready and handed out the hot towels (no magazines though....), the menu and then started the drinks service. I had a vodka and ginger to start with (with some of the decent stuff and not the watered down stuff they serve down the back!)

I enjoyed the drink while watching some stuff in iPlayer and was automatically given another drink when the trolley rolled back down the aisle. Club was only 4 rows - about 10 of us in total.

After refills, the lovely 'H' came down asking what everyone wanted for lunch. Small cabin but still trolley service. I went for the chicken which was really good. The starter salad was harmless enough.

One difference between the LHR and the LGW flights is that it's a choice of cheese or dessert. I could have gone for both (because the dessert sounded great) but I have a soft spot for cheese so opted for that. Numerous offers of tea / coffee but I opted to hold off until after I had finished the cheese.

Spent some time admiring the views from the window..... love flying!

The wonderful 'C' got me my coffee (although he filled my Glenlivet with ice even though I asked for it straight......no bother!)

'C' was good - any time I had anything less than a sip in my glass, another whisky appeared. I think he gave me 4 in total! :O And I will admit......the blanket came out and I did snuggle under it and have a forty winks.......!

After a hoo-ha with the duty free (BA can't accept anything over £250 on a credit card and can't process two separate transactions), we were coming down closer to Bucharest. The countryside was great to look at.

Saying hi to the lot next door.....

Thanks plane!

So a great flight over to Bucharest. Attentive cabin crew and a really good meal - you couldn't ask for much more. Happy that I shelled out the extra ££ rather than travelling down the back.
