Yeah, in terms of rewards, the Chase Hyatt gives you better rewards for your spend, but the advantage to the Prestige card is the fourth night free. So if you're doing a mattress run, you can do four nights and only pay for three. I was looking at summer rates in Phoenix and there are rates as low as $70 all in. With Prestige, even for a pure mattress run, that means you could do three four night stays, get all 12 nights, and pay $630. The rewards on Prestige for that $630 would be 1,260 thank you points (worth about $20). if you use theHyatt card, you don't get the three nights free, so you pay $840 instead of $630. You get about 2,500 Hyatt points for using the card (about worth $40), but lose the $210 discount.

So if you lived in Arizona, had the Prestige, and were signed up for the 10 nights 20k promo, you could get diamond for about $175. Figure $630 out of pocket, minus your points for your stays (around 3k points worth around $45), minus the 6k bonus points for the elite trial (worth around $90) minus the 20k bonus points (worth around $300) minus about $20 worth of thank you points. (Obviously if you value Hyatt at less than the 1.5 cents per point ussed above, tweak your values accordingly.)

One downside of using prestige, though, is you have to book through citi, so you can't take advantage of the current Hyatt promo of 500 points for using the app for bookings. So, I suppoose, if you were to book your 12 nights as twelve one-night stays you could earn an additional 6,000 Hyatt points that you can't geet using Prestige.

Not much, although Plat has other benefits like upgrades, internet, etc., so having plat could be beneficial for your stays. But this only applies for your first six nights since under the promo you get plat after the first six anyway. (Or, I think you would gget plat anyway if your first five nights were five one night stays.)

The other benefit of having the card though, as craz notes, is that it gives you 3x if you usee it to pay for your stays.

The caveat to all this is we don't know exactly what the terms will loook like if Hyatt brings back the trial.
