My Hilton experiences are limited to around 10 properties plus few Conrads and WA's. In no way I claim it to be exhaustive list to compare to. You and some others just make this sound like heaven on earth and I am thinking that either some people have very low expectations or perhaps stay in suites in which case this doesn't probably touch you except for lounge.
I had the breakfast in lounge. Restaurant option was not offered.
I agree the exec lounge breakfast was nothing to write home about, but most exec lounge breakfast aren't. The breakfast room breakfast is great. A lot of exec lounges don't have free alcohol anymore and at least this one does for two hours. I've never had an issue finding a seat in the Berlin exec lounge either.
When you travel a lot and have status with a chain you get a lot of nice perks. Some hotels don't take care of their elites and some like, the Hilton Berlin do. For someone with status a great breakfast for free, good internet, good chances at upgrades, etc are important.
A lot of the things people on this thread like about this hotel are perks offered to elites. If someone doesn't stay at Hilton enough for status then it doesn't matter.
