Before I call and ask BA I thought I would check first if anyone has similar experiences. Any help gratefully received

I am going with my 19 year old son on a long planned Avios and 241 to LAX in first on sept 1. Looking forward to our first A380😀

Our 241 seats start in ABZ. My son has now just decided to go to a music festival with his girlfriend in Cheshire on the bank holiday weekend and would rather join the flight starting in London rather than travel back to Aberdeen!

Seems sensible but I am assuming that I cannot skip just his Aberdeen flight on the 241

My thinking is I will have to call and remove both our ABZ flights and then just buy or avios a 1 way for me from ABZ and probably to be safe do an overnight at Heathrow. This will mean paying the change fee for removing the ABZ original flights

PS can anyone advise what the immigration time is like on arriving at LAX.
