About eight years ago, I posted, in this thread, this glowing review:

But as the reviews continued through the years there appears to be a continual straight-line downward trend. Lowlights included a downgrade and then eventual elimination of what had been, arguably, the finest concierge lounge in the Marriott system, a dispute among the hotel's owners which adversely affected the property, and various service and other problems discussed above. Too bad, because the location of the property and physical renovation when it adopted the Marriott flag are both world-class.
