I was thinking the same thing.
As a reminder to the forum, changes are to be expected and when booking a new build [and potentially with a renovated/partially closed] property.
When researching, it should be a given, there could be issues, beyond Starwood/SPGs control, that cause delays with an opening
and the person booking should have a backup plan.
This is one of those "FlyerTalk 101" things I learned many years ago.
Hopefully, all will work out for the OP.
