On another stay here. Good hotel as always, but there are some under currents of change that may be disturbing. Not huge, but here they are:
- They switched from free booze in the club to pay per drink. This has been a bit over a year ago.
- Upon check in, we were told that they had actually shut the club down completely around the first of the year but re-opened it after much consternation from frequent guests.
- Slippers are gone after having been consistent, then moved to unpackaged apparently recycled ones.
- Towels aren't as new / nice.
- Pets have gone from free to $25 per night.
- Food in the a.m. has been cut from around five hots to three. Juices reduced along with breads.
All in all, still a nice hotel but they are obviously looking to boost profits by cutting expenses. Staying here is not cheap any time of the week/year and you're not going to stay here if you have meetings in downtown Denver.
The staff is still superb...great people here.
