Why Are Airport Check-In Lines So Long at MCO?
I occasionally fly WN when I get good non-stops from MCO, which are usually pretty convenient. For me, since there is not a laundry list of potential additional charges (or offers of charges) such as for bags, upgrades, etc. it really makes flying WN a good experience. I do buy Early-Bird but buying a ticket and checking in is really pretty simple.
I check-in online, get my BP, put it in Passbook and away I go. If I need to check bags, it's 5 minutes in the bag drop line.
Bottom line is that it is pretty easy to fly with this airline. However, every time I go through the airport, there is a huge line for the "non baggage drop" section of check-in. What are these people doing?
If you are buying WN, doesn't everybody (or a vast majority) buy on-line, print a boarding pass at home/use electronic pass, then (maybe) check a bag if they need to? These lines are sometimes over 50+people long. I get the "families on vacation" possibility but I'm not sure why these "non-baggage drop" lines are so long.
Just curious.

P.S. the "boarding pass only" kiosks right at the top of the escalator are usually open/available when I arrive, so again, why not get your pass here, walk to "bag drop line" with pass in hand and then jet?
