Alternative Airports for Business Travelers
I'm curious how many FTs are required to/expected to consider alternative airports for business travel when there is a significant difference in airfare.
For your business travel, is it reasonable to fly into BWI instead of DCA, IAD, PHL or MDT, for example. Or what about flying into SEA rather than YVR? Or IND or SDF instead of CVG. Or CLE vs. PIT? Or PVD or MHT instead of BOS or BDL (I realize that BDL is now starting to see some low fare competition, but only on a very few routes).
Anyway, I would like to hear how your company addresses high airfares when there may be reasonable alternatives.
