Hello everyone,

Flying BA for the first time in a couple of months, flying Air Canada YYC-LHR and then BA LHR-MAN (and some on the return).

I'm booked in business class on Air Canada and a D fare on the BA flights. The BA website seems to suggest that D is a flexible fare. It also states that on domestic flights, seat selection is free from the time of booking for flexible fares or from 48 hours before the flight on semi-flexible fares.

The seating guide on this forum does not include D in the fares entitled to free advance seat selection.

When I go to Manage My Bookings on the BA site, it says that I need to pay for advance seat selection, or get it free 24 hours before the flight. But it also says my Avios/TP earnings are in line with a flexible economy ticket.

So can someone clarify for certain one way or the other whether or not I should be entitled to free advance seat selection, or at least the 48-hour window? Or am I stuck with either paying or waiting until check-in?

Thanks!
