I am not a big fan of USNWR rankings, but this time they got it right.
The Alaska plan makes it easier for me to earn miles, and easier to actually use them on flights, dates and destinations, I want. It's really that simple. Oh, they provide a descent service also. :-)
Easier to use them on flights? No, sorry, I'm not buying that at all. In theory that's the case, but it doesn't really hold true in practice.
