Of course, you guys know that one size really doesn't fit all. The truth is, that checking bags does take time. It might not be a problem if you fly to a destination every week or two. However, if you fly to multiple destinations in a week, checking really adds to the risk of bags not showing in time and it adds to time in journeys. I could fly to 3 different cities in a week. I pack very light and ensure my carry on fits without taking excessive room. If checking a bag will cost me an additional hour or more per week, I really prefer to avoid it. In addition, when making a connection, sometimes an earlier flight is available for a tight connection. You can't make the earlier flight if you check bags. I fly Latitude for flexibility. I really don't believe I should also be charged for carry on. Some may call it the stress of flying. I just look at it as another segment in the competitive life I live.
