I don't normally follow this board, as I am 1K with UA, but I wanted to check in on the recent diversion of DL 271 to Goose Bay on Aug. 5.

UA had a diversion to Goose Bay that marooned pax for about double the time that it took DL to rescue its pax today, if the reports on Aviation Herald are correct. And they usually are.

I was wondering if there is any further info on how DL handled this diversion? The snafus in the UA diversion to YYR made the mainstream media, and spawned a long thread in the UA forum.

Perhaps we can learn from DL's experience on this particular diversion, as it seems to have gone much better than UA's.
