Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked and received a single king executive suite. Plat status was recognized with vouchers - 2x full hot breakfast buffets for 2, 2x free domestic beers or well drinks in the bar, 2x free appetizers from restaurant menu
How are the rooms?
The rooms are quite large with a wet bar with fridge, seating area with separate TV and pullout bed and bedroom area (not divided from seating area) with its own TV
How is the exec. lounge?
There isn't one to my knowledge
What was good and what was bad?
Good:
- Cheap @ 107/night for a suite
- Recognized plat status at checkin
- Cheap bar with good bartenders
- Attentive staff
- hot buffet meals as well as regular dining; both affordable
-provided vouchers were worth between 1/4 and 1/2 the total cost of room
Bad:
- hotel is starting to show its age
- had to call front desk for children stomping around floor at 2am on the floor above which was incredibly loud. Hotel staff promptly addressed when called. Asked for late checkout due to the disturbance and was granted 2pm without issue.
Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?
Excellent value and would return, though I will likely try my luck at the IC Dallas which frequently has similiar rates for a regular room. Would recommend IC Dallas for those with Ambassador/RA
