KLM / Transavia codeshare flights: arranging hold luggage
Hi everyone,
I recently booked a return trip from ZRH to FNC via AMS, all KL coded flights, with the ZRH<->AMS flights operated by KLM and the AMS<->FNC flights operated by Transavia (again, booked on KL codes).
My ticket does not allow any hold luggage; the booking system stated that hold luggage can only be arranged when checking in at the airport. This is not a huge issue, but thus far I've found KLM / Transavia to be completely opaque about what this will actually cost (conflicting answers, with both companies asking me to contact the other one), and having no clue what the agent will charge on the day is frustrating and prevents planning.
If anyone has flown on similar connections (especially on KLM / Transavia codeshares), I'd really appreciate some hints, in particular:
* what is it likely going to cost to check in a suitcase (under 20kg) at ZRH through to FNC (and back)?
* would I be able to pay for it using Flying Blue miles?
And a related (but more minor) question:
* would the Transavia-operated (but KL coded) flights count as Qualifying Flights for Flying Blue?
Apologies for the mundane first questions, but I got nowhere with the official channels. ;-)
Thanks in advance!
