I don't know what you're up to travel wise, but if you're just wanting to get the seats, LAX-LHR-DEL/JNB (maybe DXB) has a lot more options with SM than LAX-LHR alone. For example, LAX-LHR-DEL is open at 70k miles one way in most of September. I'm not sure how married segments works with VS, but the XXX-LHR basically vaporizes as a non-stop from what I see.
