I'm flying NCL to DXB for a very special holiday to celebrate hubbys birthday.

We are flying on his actual birthday and I've bought him an iphone. I would love to give it to him while we spend a couple of hours in the Concorde Room.
Will I be able to take it in my hand luggage still sealed in box and gift wrapped? Or will security want to open it and spoil the surprise?

Thinking I already know the answer to this but .....
