I can tell you what happened at SJO about 10 years ago prior to a flight back to IAH:
"Well folks, it looks like the winds have shifted and we need to offload some fish. We will make a brief stop at the cargo terminal."
Unlike today's UA, the stop was indeed brief, and we pretty much arrived at IAH on time. And yes, that was Gordon Bethune's pmCO.
