Thanks /u/swag. Thanks for the tip, I'll probably buy the combo ticket too.

When I buy the combo ticket, do I get a metrocard, which I can recharge and use in the future?

My fare from Jamaica to Stony Brook is $10.25, so I can buy a combo ticket worth $15.25, correct?
