You can complain but I am not sure why. The TSO has digression to prohibit pretty much anything they want even if wrong. Without the MSDS there is not much to complain about.
And as noted sans the MSDS with explosion being none (vs no data available) the TSO is unlikely budge. After all they are the last line of protection :roll eyes: That said the DOT - not dangerous goods might get it through if they see just that.
My suggestion is that for future travel I would go the airport with the materials and the MSDS and meet the TSA before the next flight and see if they will pass it off and if so get a letter from their FSD.
