Yes indeed, as did South African Airways, Emirates and Lufthansa prior to the recent news stories. This is a rather reactionary and uninformed post.
A cynic would say that the American airlines are leveraging the 'good publicity'. Back in May of this year Delta released a statement saying that they'd still transport these animals as long as they were legal.
BA has always complied with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species treaty and has never transported any 'trophy kills' of this nature.
The very suggestion that they should have to align with 'Major US carriers' is laughable, considering the American track record for environmentalism and conservation.
