+1. Judging by the noise / buzz generated from the crowd at the MO Bar esp on Friday evenings when I stayed there, it has to be quite "fun". If not, Lan Kwai Fung is just a short walk away across the street. ^
+2 for the Landmark Mandarin Oriental. Stay there regularly solo (in fact I was there over this past weekend) and the staff are excellent, the bar pumps every evening (mostly with expats, often solo) and in my experience the concierge is the best in town.
You're also not 'trapped' in a hotel district, within minutes walking distance you have hundreds of options.
