The Hertz Manager’s Special is a Group A6 car. This means that they will give you what they have extra and this includes economy cars up to a SUV. On my previous 3 Special experiences, I received a compact (Group B) and two intermediate cars (Group C). If you are traveling by yourself and do not have lots of luggage then go with the Special. But if you need to have a certain size car, then reserve the right size up front.

Also, you can keep both reservations until the last minute. As a courtesy, you should inform the desk to cancel the other one.
