Using GUC for a flight departing AFTER the expiration date - conflicting responses

Hello,

I have two GUC's scheduled to expire April 2016.

I have a flight scheduled in May 2016. I called to check for space. 3/4 had open space. I went to use the certificate and the agent told me I could not. I said I had done this in the past and as long as the flight is reticketed the certs would be closed and I would be OK. They said that was not the case. They applied the certificates but told me that the upgrades would "go away" when the cert expires...

I checked and the certificates are there and I have D1 on 3 of the 4 flights with the 4th saying upgrade required. It looks like they did not process the certificates as they are still showing up as available.

Should I be concerned? Is this just a situation of the agent not knowing? Should I call back and try to get them to process the certificates and reissue the ticket? Is there a way to "use" the certificates even though one of the legs is still waitlisted? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
