I've been saying this for some time now. Despite Kelly's earlier comment of "never say never," "bags fly free" is too large a part of Southwest's brand to be going anywhere anytime soon. They'll find other ways to increase ancillary income.
But i wonder if the author of the article has ever even flown Southwest? They make the following statement, which is clearly recognizable as false to anyone familiar with WN (emphasis mine):
