Unexpected and unusual cabin luggage

After a weekend in Glasgow visiting the family and taking the father-in-law on a day trip to Barra, where the runway is the beach we headed back from Glasgow to Gatwick. I was sitting in 1c and suddenly noticed a large box with a white lid and a hand-written note on the top saying that it contained human parts for transplant. The captain announced that it had not been pre-advised, there was no official paperwork and so he was trying to work out what to do with it. Eventually the Captain decided to leave it behind. He apologised if that sounded callous but without any official paperwork he wasn't go to take a box with a hand written note on the outside saying it held human parts for transplant. I have no idea how it got so far.

In other news....purser did the minimum she had to and then spent the rest of the flight chatting with a friend ( a passenger). Inbound flight was delayed because the black box computer wasn't working . Added to the fact we arrived at an international gate so had to be bussed. Final delay was about 90 minutes.
