Agree that Skyliner is just much more comfortable, although there's a case to be made for taking the Access train if your hotel is really right near its Asakusa station.

However, you'd better check that it's indeed near Access' (ie, Asakusa subway line) Asakusa station. Asakusa really has multiple separate stations all named Asakusa. If you're staying at Hotel Richmond (near Tsukusa Exp's Asakusa sta), then you do not want to walk from Access sta to the hotel... you're talking ~15min. In that case, I'd just take Skyliner to Ueno, then taxi straight to the hotel. There's another Asakusa sta... the one for Tobu line, which is a good ~7min walk away from Access/Asakusa line's Asakusa Sta. A mere 7min walk hauling luggage in that Tokyo mugginess can really wear you down. Which hotel will you be at?
