If younger though, why not embrace the trip as a family experience and spend the money in Giraffe or somewhere?
Im not having a go (honest) and this doesn't apply to you of course but I never quite get why Exec Club members get so angry at the desk because they cant take their whole brood in, then spend their time hushing their kids up. Why try and replicate a business trip with your family?
Ok, a couple of points in response:
1) I've already checked out the eateries in T3, and there's nothing exactly inspiring for us as a family. And Giraffe was the first one that I was looking for by the way.
2) £60 would be the price for all four of us. As I said, I have PP, so I'm not paying walk up prices.
YMMV of course, but there are plenty of lounges that are not full of stuffy businessmen harrumphing over their Telegraphs every time a child tiptoes past. The VS CH is to my mind a great example of that. And making use of them - legitimately of course even if it means a small charge - is a good way to start a holiday as opposed to being in a less than inspiring terminal departures area - like T3...
