I would give them a few more days. From experience BA pay but there is then a lag until it reaches your account. Not sure how they pay but essentially it needs time to clear into your account.
This has been the case for both an EU261 claim and a reimbursement from a taxi claim for myself.
I would have waited patiently, but whenever I call BA, they always say the money would show up in my account "within 3 to 5 days" so I end up calling them every 5 days. Just called again this morning and guess what the agent said? Yes, 3 to 5 days again.
Honestly, if they just said "wait 4 weeks" to me, I would just wait quietly.
Does the money get wired from BA's UK bank acct to my US bank acct? I have had people wire money from Europe and Asia to my US bank acct and it never took more than 48 hours.(from the time they initiate the wire transfer until I see the money deposited into my account)
Will update this in 3 to 5 days, if I receive the money... or not receive the money.
