As a Gold Status holder you can choose not to travel light. We allow an additional 20 kg (44 pounds) where the weight concept applies, or one additional piece of luggage where the piece concept applies.

This does not discriminate between domestic or international flights anywhere.
Thanks. Would have preferred something from AI itself, but that should also work.

I was able to speak to AI reservations, who couldn't help me with my question, and transferred me to the Flying Returns desk, where they confirmed the additional 20kg allowance for *G on domestic travel, but also acknowledged that it's not documented anywhere on their website. He actually said something to the effect of "we decided not to place the information on the website, preferring that travelers contact us to inquire about the allowance" + <facepalm>
