Have 2 existing budget reservations. recently joined fastbreak program, called them up to ask to add the fastbreak number to my existing reservations.

Was rather shocked to be told that they would have to recalculate charges based on current pricing in order to update the profile (add the fastbreak number). I politely asked a few different ways if this was correct, as it seems to encourage me to cancel and rebook elsewhere with a similar program, if pricing is similar.

Anyone know if this was bad info, the agent didn't know how to add the number wihtout profile update, or is in fact true?
