This is strange... how would intl flights (to non English speaking destinations) operate? Also how do flights globally handle this? I would be hard pressed to see EK -- with their wide diversity of pax and multiple languages on their cabin crew - only restrict Exit row to English speaking/comprehending pax.
I flew on Copa a few years ago and they wanted someone who understood Spanish in the exit row. After a conversation (in English) with the FAs I was permitted to stay but it was not because I was able to understand them in Spanish.
