Depending on the exact dates there are some Y fares on CX around Christmas from TYO to AMS for as low as 430 GBP. Not via London, but you could meet up in Brussels or Leuven for not too much (e.g. using the Eurostar train service) for some Christmas market action before heading to the UK for the main event.
